Prof. Dr. Han Ye joined the University of Mannheim Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor in July 2018. She is also an IZA Research Affiliate and a Dissertation Fellow at the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University in May 2018.
Her current research interests are labor economics, public policy, and economics of aging. In particular, she has worked on understanding the labor supply responses of older workers to various policy interventions. Her research covers topics on effects of pension subsidies on retirement timing, older workers' labor supply responses to unemployment insurance extensions, and employment beyond retirement.
