Acting Chair

Prof. Nina Boberg-Fazlic, Ph.D.
Nina Boberg-Fazlic is Acting Chair of Economics at the University of Mannheim, Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and co-editor of Historical Methods: A Journal of Quantitative and Interdisciplinary History. Her research takes an applied approach to questions in economics and economic history, examining how institutions, public policies, and demographic forces influence economic behavior and outcomes, such as labor market outcomes, health, and social mobility. She also studies questions in political economy, with a particular interest in the economic and institutional determinants of collective action and political movements, including the rise of nationalism and the development of labor organizations.
Nina is currently substituting for Prof. Moritz Kuhn. She was previously Junior Professor at TU Dortmund and Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Denmark. She holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen.
