Scholarship Program

We offer up to 20 scholarships each year for dissertation projects in the area of money and finance. Projects in Economics and Business take place within the respective graduate schools in economics (CDSE) and business (CDSB). Projects in law are anchored in the Law School.

Generously sponsored by the “Stiftung Geld und Währung”, the program funds innovative research projects investigating a broad set of research questions. Examples include financial stability; the interaction between the financial and real sectors of the economy; the supervision and regulation of banks, insurances and pension systems; the behavior of private and institutional investors; and the legal foundations of financial institutions in the European Union and its member states.

The program seeks to foster the exchange of ideas across disciplines: It encourages recipients to dicuss with one another and to attend courses from other program areas. Students funded by the program also meet once a year for an interdisciplinary workshop: Program 2023,  Program 2022, Program 2021.
