Datenschutzerklärung für die Verarbeitung der Personenbezogenen Daten in der mLab Rekrutierungsdatenbank

 

The subscriber database

  • The data collected in the subscriber database of the Collaborative Research Center 504 (SFB 504) of the University of Mannheim are used exclusively for the organization of scientific experiments. These data will not be disclosed to third parties. We use the data for the following purposes:
    – to inform and invite participants to new laboratory or Internet experimentats
    – to conduct a scientifically motivated selection of participants for certain experiments
    – to check the attendance of registered participants in experiments
  • There is no link between the data generated experimentally and the data in the subscriber database.
  • Each participant may at any time decide that s/he does not want to receive further invitations for future experiments. You can unsubscribe via a the instructions in the invitation e-mails
  • In case that a subscriber requests that all her/his recorded data in the subscriber database are fully cleared, an formal written and signed cancellation request is to be sent to the Collaborative Research Centre 504, University of Mannheim, L13, 15, D-68131 Mannheim, Germany.


Laboratory Experiments

  • During laboratory experiments new data based on participants' decisions are generated.
  • These data are scientifically evaluated. The decision data is made anonymous and cannot be traced back to particular person. The participation in the experiments is anonymous in that sense.
  • This generated, anonymous data are used for scientific research and lectures. Such reserach is usually published and assessed by peer review.


Video Experiments

  • During video experiments sound and video recording of the participants is created. The video files are scientifically evaluated. In particular, transcripts of discussions are made. The SFB504 and the scientist in charge of the experiment received the right to use selected sequences during presentations.
  • Recordings are made anonymous and they cannot be associated with the personal data about the participants.
  • Invitations for experiments with video recordings specifically mention this fact.


Internet Experiments

  • Internet experiments, which are announced throught the subscriber database of the SFB 504, lie in the responsibility of the respective organizer. Please note the organizer#s privacy notice.

Information obligations

The data collected in the subscriber database of the Mannheim Laboratory for Experimental Economics (mLab) Mannheim University are used exclusively for the organization of scientific experiments. These data are used by researchers at the University of Mannheim and other scientists and not shared with third parties. We use the data for the following purposes:

  • to inform and invite participants to new laboratory or Internet experimentats,
  • to conduct a scientifically motivated selection of participants for certain experiments,
  • to check the attendance of registered participants in experiments.



With incomplete information (first name, last name, e-mail address and type of experiments preference – laboratory experiments or Internet experiments), we can not add you to the subscriber database and you will not get invitations for experiments from us.

The personal information that you store in the subscriber database and the data of your participation in experiments is stored indefinitely. You can inspect the information that we hold about you at any time. For this purpose, please send us an email to mlabmail-uni-mannheim.de

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. If this is the case, your personal data will be immediately deleted.
