Andreas Gerster is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics in Mannheim since January 2019.
His focus lies on empirical energy & environmental economics and its connection to information economics and industrial organization. In particular, he works on market-based climate policy instruments, behavioral information biases and the optimal taxation of internalities.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Ruhr University Bochum, as well as a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Münster and a B.Sc. in International Economics and European Studies from the University of Tübingen.
