Harald Fadinger is a Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim, CEPR Research Fellow, Senior Member of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI) and a member of the international economics section of the Verein für Socialpolitik. His main research interests are international trade, macroeconomics and organizational economics. Currently, he studies issues of international competitiveness, productivity, trade policy and firm organization. His research has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Journal of International Economics.
Harald holds degrees in Economics and in Law from the University of Vienna. He did his graduate studies at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, where he obtained an MSc (2003) and a PhD (2008) in Economics. Prior to joining the University of Mannheim, he held positions at Université Libre, Brussels and at the University of Vienna.
