Prof. Edoardo Maria Acabbi, Ph.D.

Edoardo Maria Acabbi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim. His research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics, labor economics, and corporate finance. He studies how firms respond to financial constraints and labor market rigidities, and how these responses shape workers’ career paths and the accumulation of human capital. His work highlights the broader implications of these dynamics for resource allocation and productivity growth, both at the firm level and in the aggregate economy.

Previously, he was between 2020 and 2025 Assistant Professor of Finance at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science from Bocconi University, Milan, in 2010 and 2013 respectively, and his Ph.D in Business Economics from Harvard University in 2020.
