Dr. Andreas Gerster

Andreas Gerster works as an Acting Chair of Quantitative Economics at the Department of Economics in Mannheim.

His research focus lies on public economics and environmental economics, as well as on information economics. In particular, he works on informational and market-based climate policy instruments. He also investigates optimal taxation of internalities.

Andreas Gerster conducted his doctoral studies at Ruhr Graduate School in Economics and obtained his Ph.D. from Ruhr University Bochum. In addition, he holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Münster and a B.Sc. in International Economics and European Studies from the University of Tübingen.
