Doctoral Degree in Economics

You can find our current Regulations and Procedures Governing the Doctoral Dissertation here. They apply to doctoral students pursuing a doctorate in Economics.

Ms. Rosenkranz, who works at the dean's office in the Department of Economics, provides administrative support in matters relating to doctorates (managing files, organizing examination dates, issuing certificates etc.). For information on other matters, especially on admission as a doctoral candidate and supervision, please contact the Graduate School or a supervisor directly.

To obtain a doctorate in Economics, you must be admitted to the doctoral program in Economics at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics (CDSE) which is part of the Graduate School. Our three-year program quickly prepares doctoral students for writing a high-level dissertation and taking an active role in research. Candidates must have successfully completed a master's program or, in exceptional cases, may be admitted upon completion of their bachelor's degree.
